The event is a celebration of the achievements of HLS, a hunger relief and social services nonprofit in Niagara Falls, as well as recognizing the organizations and people that have been instrumental in its success.
Niagara Falls Police investigating shooting outside 7-Eleven

At approximately 5:15 a.m. Saturday, Niagara Falls Police Department officers responded to 15th Street and Pine Avenue for a report of a man shot. Upon arrival at 1504 Pine Ave., officers located a 28-year-old male suffering from numerous serious gunshot wounds, laying on the ground outside a 7-Eleven.

NYS agriculture commissioner announces applications open for 30% NYS initiative

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball announced applications are open for reimbursement for the 30% New York State Initiative for the 2021-22 school year. This initiative increases the reimbursement schools receive for lunches from 5.9 cents per meal to 25 cents per meal for any district that purchases at least 30% ingredients for their school lunch program from New York farms.
