Wallace, McMahon join DA Flynn announce passage of 'revenge porn' legislation

On Friday, Assemblywoman Monica Wallace and Assemblywoman Karen McMahon joined Erie County District Attorney John Flynn to announce the passage of legislation that establishes the crime of unlawful dissemination or publication of an intimate image, commonly known as "revenge porn" (A.5981).
OASAS: More than $5.1 million in funding for addiction recovery centers across New York

The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) announced the award of more than $5.1 million in funding to establish 14 new recovery community centers across New York, and expand services at two existing recovery centers. Funding for the centers was awarded through a competitive request for applications process, administered by OASAS and its fiscal partner, the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene.

The team rode an emotional high heading into the Section VI Class A1 semifinal matchup versus Williamsville East Thursday night, but the Flames knocked the Falcons back down to earth, as N-W was defeated, 66-43.

No snow or ice to mention, but winds blew through the area at steady speeds in the 40 mile-per-hour range, with gusts up above 70 mph. Over the course of the year, Americans collectively spent 70 billion hours behind the wheel - an 8 percent increase since 2014. Each week, drivers travel more than 220 miles. Add it up and Americans drive an average of 11,498 miles each year - the equivalent of making two roundtrip drives from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.
