Old Falls Street in downtown Niagara Falls will be the place for one-stop festive fun once again, as Jingle Falls USA kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 26, and continues on Dec. 3 and 10. The annual festival welcomes the return of live entertainment, craft and food vendors, family-friendly activities and Santa to celebrate the holiday season.

The Zonta Club of Kenmore kicked-off a month of activism for women by welcoming Deputy County Executive Lisa M. Chimera to its monthly business meeting on Nov. 2. Chimera spoke to the needs of local women and the county's efforts to meet these needs. There was also discussion on advocacy, and what actions Zonta members could take to address these needs.

Just after 12:30 on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 10, Niagara Falls Police responded to a house in the 2700 block of Falls Street for a report of a person shot. Officers located a 21-year-old female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated on the scene by the Niagara Falls Fire Department and AMR, and was transported to ECMC where she is listed in serious condition.
