Just after 12:30 on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 10, Niagara Falls Police responded to a house in the 2700 block of Falls Street for a report of a person shot. Officers located a 21-year-old female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated on the scene by the Niagara Falls Fire Department and AMR, and was transported to ECMC where she is listed in serious condition.

Officers on the scene developed a physical description of a possible suspect in the shooting, which was communicated to responding officers. Upon receiving this information, officers attempted to stop a vehicle that had a possible suspect. The driver refused to stop, which led to a pursuit by multiple NFPD units along with other law enforcement agencies. The occupants of that vehicle eventually got out and entered a second vehicle, which also refused to stop for police. The second vehicle was eventually located with no one inside of it.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and police are continuing to investigate the shooting, as well as the subsequent vehicle chase. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Niagara Falls Police Department criminal investigation division at 716-286-4553 or the general information number at 716-286-4711.
