Ransomville woman arrested on Leandra's Law violation

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest this week of a Ransomville resident on a violation of Leandra's Law after she was pulled over on the 5000 block of Lower Mountain Road in the Town of Cambria.
Celebrating National Dance Day

In recognition of National Dance Day on Saturday, July 30, instructors and students from the Lewiston and Grand Island Dance Centers took part in the third annual Buffalo Dance Festival at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts. Featured were daylong intensive sessions of master dance classes from Western New York dance companies, led by Jon Lehrer, Joseph Cipolla, Bill Evans and Christina Johnson.
Time to Dance students place nationally

Students in Susan Akin's Time to Dance studio recently placed well at July's "Beyond the Stars" nationals in New Jersey. Out of 404 routines, Akin's elite-level dancers were asked to compete along with 31 other teams in the "Ultimate Challenge." From that bunch, Time to Dance performers finished fifth. In total, the school took home more than a dozen trophies (including one that's 4 feet tall).
