The Town of Niagara Zoning Board of Appeals recently honored its "hardworking and witty" member Cosmo Fratello on his retirement from the board after many years of service to the town.
Shown are Tom Cuddahee, board member; Jim Walsh, board member; Renee Granto, secretary; Fratello; Sue Fulle, chairman; and Pat Barney, board member.
"Cosmo was known to weigh his vote studiously, and to be fair to all applicants who came before us. He would always look for a compromise or an idea to help both the town business and resident variance applicants bring their plan ideas to fruition," Fulle said.
Fratello began his service to the town on the now defunct Vehicle and Traffic Commission Board switching to the Zoning Board in the mid-1990s. He described his time on the Zoning Board well spent, with "solid and meaningful decisions."
