The Lady Junior Purple Eagles welcomes all eligible players to attend travel softball tryouts for the new 2012 teams in the 14-and-under, 12-and-under and 10-and-under divisions. The Lady Eagles will compete in the Metro Girls Softball League as well as tournaments.

First tryouts for the 12U and 14U teams will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lewiston-Porter High School softball field. There will be a second tryout on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. at Lew-Port High School for both groups. The 10U tryouts will be held at a later date.

The Lady Junior Purple Eagles are committed to providing girls from the north towns of Western New York a first-class softball training ground at the cheapest possible price, and are supported by the Battle at Fort Niagara Softball Tournament. Players will be exposed to specialty softball skills training during off-season months, including pitching and softball-specific hitting, in an effort to improve and grow in the ever-competitive game of softball.
