Artpark & Company has selected a cutting-edge Master of Fine Arts student from Ontario College of Art and Design to complete a working artist residency. The Working Artist Residency Program will run through July 30, with the artist living in the community and crafting his art experience on the Artpark grounds.

Renovations to the 10th Street parking garage on Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's downtown campus will resume Monday. Work will begin on the uppermost level and proceed downward one level at a time. As each level is completed, parking spaces that have been temporarily restricted from use will be returned to service.

As advertised, Blondie and Garbage brought buckets of angst and political disdain to Lewiston on Tuesday as part of the "Rage and Rapture" Tour stop at Artpark in Lewiston. They also brought truckloads of talent, stellar production and a batch of hit songs primarily from the 1980s and '90s.

Erie County Executive Mark C. The Grand Island Lions Club on July 19 held its 59th annual Special Kids Picnic at the Buffalo Launch Club, an event that brought in over 1,100 kids with special needs and their chaperones.
