National Grid prepares for high winds across parts of upstate New York

Kathy Hochul announced state parks, historic sites, campgrounds and trails operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation saw a record 88.3 million visits in 2024. Total visits statewide surged by over 4 million, which is a 5% increase compared to the previous record year in 2023.

NYS: $10 million available to support youth and teen mental health first aid

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $10 million in state funding is available to offer a statewide youth and teen mental health first aid program. The state Office of Mental Health will administer the funding to develop a training and certification program that helps New Yorkers identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders in young people who may be experiencing a crisis.
