The Niagara County Department of Public Works on Thursday announced Tom Yeager, the longtime PGA golf pro at the Niagara County Golf Course in Lockport, will be retiring after two decades working for Niagara County and more than 40 years in the golf profession. Yeager's retirement is official on March 18.

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday announced $25 million in grant awards have been made to nonprofit organizations and municipalities in every region of New York to support safe and affordable homeownership. The grants will help low- and moderate-income homeowners make repairs or safety upgrades to their homes and provide down payment assistance for first-time buyers.
