Ceretto announces $450K-plus for local libraries

Assemblyman John Ceretto has announced that the Nioga Library System will receive more than $450,000 in construction grants to support the continued efforts of local public libraries to educate and enlighten. The grants are supported by a $14 million capital-fund appropriation in the 2011 state budget, which Ceretto helped to pass.

Allegiant to end service between Niagara and Fort Lauderdale

Allegiant announced Friday it will end its scheduled service between Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The carrier's last day of service will be Sept. 2. Customers with reservations beyond that date will be contacted directly by Allegiant for a full refund.

Twenty-one colleges and universities from the northeastern U.S. attended this year's Eastern Colleges Science Conference, held April 14 at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. Most of the 267 students and 74 faculty members in attendance made research presentations (in the form of a poster, oral, or manuscript) in search of one of the ECSC's 16 awards.
