The terrific smell of barbecue chicken and ribs will be in the air at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center on Friday, May 11. From 3 to 6 p.m., the St. Francis Guild will host its 14th annual chicken and ribs barbecue. Lewiston's The Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q will cook the food.

All proceeds will benefit the hospital.

"This is such a fun event, with the drive-thru service for an easy Friday night supper, all to benefit our community's health care. We are thankful for the wonderful support," said Marie Chiarenza, president of the St. Francis Guild.

Last year, more than 400 dinners were sold. Members of the St. Francis Guild will be assisted once again by members of the hospital's board of associates. Those picking up or purchasing dinners can drive to the traffic circle on the north side of the hospital for service.

The dinners include chicken or ribs, one side, and corn bread. Drive-thru service is available from the hospital's north (outpatient) lobby.

Advance sale tickets are $7.50 for chicken and $9.50 for ribs. Advance sale purchases are guaranteed. Add 50 cents for each dinner purchased on the day of the event while supplies last.

Tickets can be purchased from the hospital's gift shop, volunteer office, or by calling 716-298-2144.
