Community Beer Works celebrates 10-year anniversary

On Saturday, Community Beer Works marked its 10-year anniversary with a daylong celebration. Held at the taproom located at 520 Seventh St., the event featured a number of experiences and collaborations with community partners. Additionally, the brewery launched a limited-edition beer named "10th Anniversary Double IPA" to commemorate the milestone, alongside other pours from the CBW beer vault.

At 12:42 a.m. Saturday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office communications division received a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic incident on Washington Street in the Town of Wheatfield, Hamlet of Bergholz. Upon arrival, the male subject allegedly barricaded himself within the caller's residence while refusing to comply with deputies' requests to speak with him and exit the residence.

Tax collections for state fiscal year (SFY) 2021-22 totaled $121.1 billion - $3.3 billion higher than forecast by the Division of the Budget in the amended executive budget financial plan released in February, and more than $30 billion higher than DOB's initial forecasts from May 2021, according to the March state cash report released this week by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. The Village of Lewiston Earth Day cleanup will be held Saturday, April 23, starting at the Red Brick Municipal Building, 145 N. The Island Ship Center began with "a dream and a storage unit and fax service" on Baseline Road sixteen years ago, said Fahim Mojawalla, who co-owns the business with his wife, Seema. In 2016, the business moved to its present location on Whitehaven Road, where it began changing and growing.
