BEC Recordings announced the release of "Convoy of Hope: Hope Has A Name," debuting Sept. 13. Benefitting the faith-based and nonprofit organization Convoy of Hope, the 14-song project features multiple worship songs from churches around the U.S., such as River Valley Worship, Crossroads Music, Red Rocks Worship and Christ Church Fellowship.

Disney Channel has ordered "Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur," an original animated series based on Marvel's hit comic books, from Disney Television Animation. Executive produced by Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland's Cinema Gypsy Productions (ABC's "black-ish"), Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment, and Emmy Award-winner Steve Loter (Disney's "Kim Possible"), the series follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo works together to protect the city's Lower East Side from danger.

OASAS announces launch of new educational program to raise awareness about addiction prevention, treatment & recovery services in NYS

The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) announced the launch of a new educational program to help New Yorkers understand alcohol and drug addiction, including where to find help and services. The program is titled "New Hope, New Life with OASAS," and will help inform New Yorkers about substance use disorders, including the warning signs, resources available, and where to find help. The program is being funded with $500,000 distributed through the federal state opioid response grant.

Ortt introduces legislation to block license plate fees

Rob Ortt held a press conference to address the newly proposed license plate renewal fees that will be mandated by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Summer means a lot of things to a lot of different people, but traditionally it has always been a season to get out of the house and attend local events with the rest of the community. Nobody knows this more than right here in Niagara County, where municipalities often end up competing with one another to draw in curious visitors and longtime residents alike for their own take of summer fun.
