DEC announces proposed updates to streamline environmental quality reviews

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos on Friday announced DEC is releasing for public comment a draft rulemaking package that, if adopted, would make the first update to New York's State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) regulations in more than two decades, preserving the integrity of the program while streamlining the environmental review process.
