Local nonprofits invited to participate in online fundraiser March 14-15
The United Way of Buffalo & Erie County has opened registration for its successful "Spring It On" campaign for interested nonprofit organizations. Now in its fifth year, the annual campaign is a 24-hour fundraising event designed to raise awareness and funds for not-for-profit organizations throughout Western New York with a unique one-day focus.
This year's event will be held March 14 beginning at 6 p.m. It will conclude on March 15 at 6 p.m. Last year, more than 228 agencies participated, raising $138,000 to support a variety of programs and agencies.
Participating organizations will have a web page set up specific to their agency or program that will allow potential donors to learn more and donate directly to the organization through the "Spring It On" website. They will be encouraged to promote the event and their cause through social media and other communications channels.
Any interested 501(c)(3) organization providing services in the counties of Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Allegany or Orleans is eligible to participate in "Spring It On." Organizations interested in participating can register at www.springiton.org/register or contact Katie Buseck at 716-887-2714 or [email protected] to learn more.
