Regal Entertainment Group, Paramount Pictures and Values Partnerships announce a new initiative to enable families across the nation to experience director Denzel Washington's "Fences."
A special admission price has been arranged for select organizations serving local communities to see "Fences" at local Regal Cinemas, in an effort to provide families in every community the opportunity to see the film-adaptation of August Wilson's American classic.
The program is effective now and is valid through the film's theatrical release. Groups interested in purchasing tickets at this special price may visit http://acrossthefence.co/group-tickets/.
"We are excited to provide the opportunity for more families to see 'Fences' on the big screen with this special offering at Regal Cinemas," said Ray Nutt, senior VP business relations at Regal Entertainment Group. "We support many local organizations in the communities that our theaters serve to make a positive impact. Regal is proud to start the year partnering with these two great organizations to offer families the chance to enjoy 'Fences' at Regal Cinemas."
"Fences" premiered on Christmas Day, and is directed by Washington from a screenplay by Wilson, adapted from Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The film stars Washington, Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson and Saniyya Sidney.
Values Partnerships will lead outreach to organizations serving local communities and families using its nationwide network of organizations.
"Values Partnerships is excited to continue our work with Paramount Pictures and Denzel Washington on 'Fences,' " said Joshua DuBois, founder and CEO of Values Partnerships. "Following the launch of the #AcrossTheFence campaign, and a successful premiere, it is our mission to ensure that families in every community see the film-adaptation of August Wilson's iconic play. This is especially important for those families who most find themselves in the characters Wilson crafted. Thank you to Paramount Pictures and Regal Entertainment Group for their continued commitment to local communities."
