NBC Sports is scheduled to present 109 NHL regular-season games during the 2018-19 season - its most since acquiring NHL rights prior to the 2005-06 season. Coverage begins Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when Alex Ovechkin and the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals raise their championship banner to the rafters and host the Boston Bruins.
BPO extends John Morris Russell's contract for three more years

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor John Morris Russell have agreed to extend their contract for three more years after the initial agreement expires in August 2019. Russell will continue to conduct at least five pops programs per season and will take the lead in planning pops programming.

Based on an international hit, which already is a viral phenomenon with more than half a billion fans worldwide, and the No. 1 top-trending video of 2017 on YouTube, "The Masked Singer" features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: Each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity.
