Battle at the Border' comes to Niagara Falls

On Saturday, Feb. 4, Niagara Falls High School will host the "Battle at the Border," consisting of four American high school basketball teams facing four Canadian high school teams.
Lions storm back against the Lumberjacks, sweep season series

In front of a loud crowd inside the "Lion's Den" at Lockport High School, the Lions defeated the first-place North Tonawanda Lumberjacks 61-51. With the win, Lockport sweeps the season series with North Tonawanda. The Lions are the only Niagara Frontier League team to beat NT twice.

In front of a modest crowd inside the "Wolvearena" at Niagara Falls High School, the Lockport Lions defeated the Wolverines, 58-53, on Saturday. The Lions lost the first time the two teams met, 64-43, so the win gives the teams a split of their season series.
North Tonawanda powers past Niagara-Wheatfield for season sweep

In front of a packed crowd at North Tonawanda High School on Friday, the Lumberjacks defeated the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons, 76-37. The win gives the Lumberjacks a season-sweep of the Falcons, as the Jacks won the first outing by a score of 72-34.

UB law school selects interim dean for its highest honor

The Niagara Falls High School Wolverines survived a comeback from the North Tonawanda High School Lumberjacks, in front of a loud crowd at the "Wolvearena" on Friday. The 52-50 win gives the Wolverines a season-split, as the Jacks won the first outing by a 42-37 score.

Cataract City Classic ends with a bang

The final day of the Cataract City Classic could not have finished any better. Each game on Saturday was action-packed and close the entire way, as the biggest defeat was by 12 points. Some of the best athletes from Western New York, as well as the Rochester area, came to the "Wolvarena" at Niagara Falls High School and did not disappoint the loud and energetic fans.

The 2016 Niagara Falls High School football team finished the season with a 7-2 record. The team had a record year defensively, and was always a big threat to make huge plays on offense. The leader and catalyst of that offense was senior quarterback Jhamir Isom. His poise, athleticism and leadership were all key to the Wolverines season.
