Department of Labor, Buffalo-area agencies host career exploration day to introduce female students, women to construction trades

In celebration of Women in Construction Week, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs is joining the Buffalo Employment and Training Center and Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction to host Women and Girls Construction Career Exploration Day on Thursday, March 7.

The program will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Employment and Training Center, 77 Goodell St. It will include breakout panels featuring a variety of government agencies, information tables, and exhibition floor and safety demos, and an address by Erie County Legislature Chair April Baskin, and Dolly Randle, president of Compliance and Administrative Services of New York.
