Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the completion of a $500,000 project replacing a badly deteriorated waterline suspended over Twelve-mile creek in the Town of Wilson. Funded through the governor's Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative, the replacement will help reduce municipal maintenance costs and ensure the homes and businesses served by this town-owned infrastructure will have a reliable supply of water long into the future.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg announced the Department of Transportation's Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is making more than $1.69 billion available to the National Railroad Passenger Corp. (Amtrak) to provide relief from the impacts of COVID-19 to the company's business operations, workforce and state funding partners. The funding is provided under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

Andrew Cuomo announced the New York State Police will conduct "Operation Hardhat" enforcement activities all week in support of National Work Zone Awareness Week, which takes place from April 26-30. During "Operation Hardhat," members of the State Police patrol Department of Transportation and Thruway Authority work zones to enforce work zone speed limits and ensure motorists are obeying flagging personnel.

The Walt Disney Company will kick off its presentation of the 2021 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 29 (8 p.m. EDT), on ESPN, ABC, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio and the ESPN app. Coverage will include 1,500 creative elements, 450 player highlight packages and 35 player vignettes. ESPN and ABC will document the three-day event with 50 cameras and more than 50 microphones following live action in Cleveland, more than 40 additional cameras at the homes of draft prospects and another 32 cameras offering looks into each NFL Draft room.

The Niagara County Youth Bureau is seeking a new representative for the New York State Governor's Youth Council. The group is to be made up of 62 young people ages 13-21, one representing each county, to be selected via attached process. In 2020, the council was represented by Jaydon Lang of Lockport.

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the first round of technology partners participating in a new initiative for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) - a program that will allow eligible restaurants and other food establishments to access the RRF application or data they need to fill out the application through their trusted point-of-sale (POS) service providers. SBA announced a partnerships with Clover, NCR Corp., Square and Toast in this effort to provide a customer-centric approach to the delivery of relief funds.
