Earlier this week, Disney+ announced the latest Marvel Studios addition to its summer lineup, "I Am Groot," will launch on Aug. 10. "I Am Groot" is a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone's favorite little tree, and will feature several new and unusual characters. All five shorts will be available for viewers to watch upon launch.

Lewiston GardenFest, presented by Lewiston Garden Club, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19. The Center Street festival includes more than 60 vendors selling flowers, plants and handcrafted art and garden essentials, along with a garden walk, speakers, a container garden contest, and more activities throughout the weekend.

The Center for Exploratory & Perceptual Arts has received $17,114 from the Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation. These funds will be dedicated to enhancing and expanding upon Alternative Perspectives, CEPA's program for individuals on the autism spectrum. Through photography workshops and hands-on training for individuals on the spectrum, CEPA will serve more than 40 individuals on the spectrum.
