The third annual "Art Off the Wall" exhibition and fundraiser to benefit the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda Friday, Dec. 1. The event will give visitors a unique opportunity to purchase original 5-inch-by-7-inch artwork generously donated by local artists supporting the Carnegie Art Center. All items are priced at $20.

As Daylight Savings Time comes to an end on Nov. 5, the Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY) urges all citizens to check their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to ensure their homes are properly prepared for an emergency. Alarms equipped with either removeable or sealed-in batteries both need to be tested. Removeable batteries should be replaced, and sealed-in batteries should be checked to confirm they are functioning.
