The Newfane United Methodist Church will host a free Veterans Day Soup Dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the church, 2699 Main St., Newfane.
The event is open to all, and several varieties of soup will be available, along with desserts and a drink.
A free-will offering will be taken. Donations will go to help people who have been affected by the recent natural disasters.
•Lower Niagara Moose Lodge 584 invites area veterans to its annual Veterans Day pasta dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the lodge, 112 S. Water St., Lewiston.
The dinner is hosted by "Back to Battan" Bob Koryl. The cost for the dinner is $15, with proceeds to benefit WNY Heroes Inc.
Entertainment will feature music by Dave Stayner.
