Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced the ribbon-cutting for the Buffalo Black Achievers Museum. Located on Jefferson Avenue on the city's East Side, the museum will provide a permanent home for exhibitions and archival resources designed to enlighten, educate, motivate and inspire visitors with its focus on notable African Americans - both past and present - who built Buffalo and are planning the city's future.

Hybrid students in the green group will be on campus on Monday and Tuesday, while students in the white group will be on campus Thursday and Friday. The district will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

In addition to warning signs, the campaign will also help offer alternatives to using alcohol for stress management, at a time when the danger of excessive alcohol use is increased as a result of the pandemic.

Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced more than $328 million in home heating aid is now available for low- and middle-income New Yorkers who need assistance keeping their homes warm during the coming winter season. Applications are now being accepted for the Home Energy Assistance Program, which provides federal funding to assist homeowners and renters with their heating costs during the cold weather months.
