Greater Niagara Fishing Expo moving to February 2021

The Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo, one of the largest pure-fishing shows in the Great Lakes, is postponing its popular event at the Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls due to COVID-19. On Tuesday, the Niagara Falls Music Hall of Fame announced its 2020 inductees at a small, private event at the Evening Star Concert Hall. This year's inductees are Marsha McWilson, Seven Day Faith, Thom Rotella, Michael Hatalak, D'Amico Music, Thomas Nelson and Charles Chiarenza. Additionally, a Niagara Falls Music Support Award in honor of the late Dr. Samuel "Saxman" Morreale was presented to Thomas Proctor IV (aka Thomas Loop).

Fire at Niagara Frontier Country Club

On Wednesday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a phone call from an alarm company stating a fire alarm was activated at the Niagara Frontier Country Club. Deputies and fire fighters responded to the scene and reported smoke coming from the main building at the country club. DiNapoli: Pandemic hit to sales tax revenue threatening fiscal health of local governments
