The Niagara County Department of Public Works is now accepting applications for seasonal help for the 2022 season. Positions are currently open at the five county parks, the Niagara County Golf Course, and the highway department. Seasonally employees earn $14.20 per hour.

Catholic Health secures $58.5m in bond financing to fund new Lockport Memorial Hospital

Catholic Health announced Tuesday it has secured orders from several investors for $58.5 million in bonds to fund construction of its Lockport Memorial Hospital. In addition to the new hospital, which will become a campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Niagara County, the bond financing will support cardiac catheterization room renovations at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, and other small infrastructure projects across the system.

On Tuesday, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, directed the SBA to provide additional deferment of principal and interest payments for existing COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program borrowers. That makes a total of 30 months deferment from inception on all approved COVID-19 EIDL loans.
