Depeche Mode, along with Trafalgar Releasing, Sony Music Entertainment and BBH Entertainment, announce the upcoming release of the new feature-length documentary and concert film, "SPIRITS in the Forest," coming to cinemas worldwide for a one-night event on Nov. 21. The film will bring fans together around the world to celebrate the impact of Depeche Mode's music and performances. "SPIRITS in the Forest" will be screened in more than 2,400 cinemas, from Adelaide to Zagreb, in over 70 countries.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Downriver Post 7487's "Circle of Honor" started to be assembled on Wednesday morning. Patrol cars from the Lewiston Police Department and Niagara County Sheriff's Office escorted stone pillars down Center Street and into Academy Park. Project manager Rocco DelGrosso and his team then began to install the monument pieces.

Congressman Brian Higgins, D-NY-26, announced a federal grant from the Department of Homeland Security's Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) program has been awarded to the City of Buffalo for the hiring of firefighters. The grant is for a total of $9,806,400 and administered by DHS's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

As Child Passenger Safety Weeks beings, the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC), together with state and local partners, will host child safety seat events throughout the state. This will help parents and caregivers ensure their child's restraint is properly installed and fitted correctly. These events coincide with national Child Passenger Safety Week, which takes place from Sept. 15-21. A total of 35 events are planned statewide throughout the week, including 22 on National Seat Check Saturday.

Niagara University formally unveiled its new location in Vaughan, Ontario, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday. The site, in the Vaughan Metropolitan Center, is also the first university to be established in the City of Vaughan and York region. It supports Niagara University's commitment to becoming the premier binational university within the Province of Ontario.

All ticket-holding patrons are invited to the champagne toast, which will take place in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall just prior to the 8 p.m. main stage concert, titled "Favorites & Friends: A Celebration of 20 Years."
