Bobby Rydell booked for Historic Riviera Theatre

The Riviera Theatre welcomes Bobby Rydell at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Rydell’s career has encompassed six decades and counting. He first found success as a teen idol, selling over 25 million records. He went on to star on television, stage and film, and is now the author of a best-selling autobiography, “Bobby Rydell: Teen Idol On The Rocks – A Tale of Second Chances.”

The artist continues to entertain audiences with his biggest hits. He also performs favorites from “The Great American Songbook” written by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and others. Rydell’s hits include: “Wild One,” “Forget Him,” “Volare,” “Swingin’ School” and “We Got Love.”

Opening the show will be special guests Friends of Harmony Crescendo Barbershop Quartet.

Based in Buffalo, the group counts Ed Lyons, Peter Hart, Kevin Koczka and Adam English as members.
