Multi-Platinum, progressive rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Monday announced its anticipated winter tour will be back for 2021. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the group's landmark album, "Christmas Eve and Other Stories," this year's multisensory extravaganza kicks off on Wednesday, Nov. 17, with performances in Green Bay and Council Bluffs, and will visit 59 cities for 99 performances across America, before concluding Thursday, Dec. 30, in Cleveland and St. Louis.

A University at Buffalo team has developed a new model of how information in the genome is organized, called the novel genome archipelago model (GAM). The model provides new insights into how a multitude of interactions among genes may affect normal development as well as mutations that lead to cancer and other diseases.

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn warns anyone who is knowingly in possession of a falsified COVID-19 vaccine card - and presents that forged document with the intent to deceive another of their vaccination status - can be charged with a felony offense. This alert comes as some local colleges and universities require students to provide proof of vaccination in order return to on-campus residency and in-person learning.

Ball announced the winners of the 2021 dairy products competition in celebration of Dairy Day at The Great New York State Fair. Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday announced the groundbreaking for Angela's House, a $22.8 million development that will transform a long-dormant wing of the historic Villa Maria Academy into affordable housing in the Town of Cheektowaga. Funded in part by $3.6 million from the state's Homeless Housing and Assistance Program, the project will redevelop the former all-girls high school into 67 affordable apartments, including 21 supportive units that will serve adults over the age of 55 who are grappling with housing insecurity.
