A total of 118 cars entered the 12th annual Hangover 150. Presented by Investor's Services, this year's event went off some six weeks after the first scheduled date of Jan. 1 thanks to a lack of winter weather. That was not the case on Saturday, as winter arrived with a vengeance - and 3 inches of fresh snow blanketed the grounds prior to the first green flag.

The Grand Island Parks and Recreation Department has announced the Winter Fest/Pond Hockey tournament originally scheduled for Feb. 18 and 19 has been postponed due to ground and ice conditions. Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, today praised local and national religious institutions and individuals for standing up in opposition to President Obama's plan to force religious institutions to abide by policies that would run in direct opposition to their beliefs. Many religious leaders opposed the president's plan, because it would have forced their organizations to uphold measures they did not support. Sources state that the president has backed off of that stance and will be respectful of religious beliefs.
