Cuomo to send 'New York Cares' package to President Trump & first lady

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday announced he is sending a "New York Cares" get well package to President Trump and first lady Melania Trump following news they contracted the novel coronavirus. The care package will include fresh apples from Upstate farms, bagels from New York City, cheesecake from Junior's, chicken wings from Dinosaur BBQ, and apple cider.
Deposits for Food makes latest donation to local pantries

Seven years ago, Deposits for Food began collecting returnable containers and scrap metal, giving all its proceeds to three Niagara County food pantries and shelters. Since that time, the total amount donated has grown to over $82,000.

DEC asks bowhunters to report deer that may have died from EHD

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation asked bowhunters who may encounter deer affected by epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) this fall to report the find to DEC. EHD is a viral disease of whitetail deer that cannot be contracted by humans. Reports from hunters help DEC track the disease's potential spread.
County delegates elect Ontario County Chairman Jack Marren to full term as NYSAC president

Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity is hosting a one-of-a-kind Habitat ReSale pop-up store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at its new office location. Funds raised will help Habitat for Humanity build homes for families in need (and keeps extra building supplies and home furnishings out of landfills). Items for sale will have been donated to the pop-up store and are then sold to the community at a fraction of retail price.
'Art of Suffrage' on display in Niagara County Courthouse

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, on Thursday, marked the beginning of fall camping season by reminding New Yorkers and visitors to prevent the spread of damaging invasive species by following state firewood requirements when obtaining wood for campfires. In recognition of October as National Firewood Awareness Month, DEC is releasing new PSA across the state to help raise awareness about firewood movement and its role in spreading invasive species.

The show also tied its highest-rated week since May among women 25-54 (0.4 rating). In addition, "Tamron Hall" matched a nine-week high in households (0.8 rating).
