Grisanti to co-sponsor legislation for Caylee's Law

State Sen. Mark Grisanti announced this week that he is co-sponsoring legislation to create Caylee's Law. The bill would make it a felony for a parent or legal guardian to fail to timely report a missing child, in cases where the parent knew or should have known that the child was possibly in danger.
Ted Danson to lead 'CSI' team

Tedesco Construction Services Inc., a member of the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce, recently held a ribbon-cutting in celebration of its new office located at 210 S. Ninth St., in the Village of Lewiston. President/Owner Jeffrey M. Tedesco founded the business in 2006 and works alongside his son, Justin Tedesco, employing four project managers and estimator employees.

The Rev. Joseph L. Levesque, president of Niagara University, officiated the blessing of the St. Vincent de Paul Store's new location in the former St. Joseph's School building (Tronolone Place off Pine Avenue) on Saturday, July 9. Since 1950, the thrift store has offered gently used clothing and glassware to Niagara Falls residents in need, albeit at several different locations.

The fourth annual Big Bass Classic IV, sponsored by Outdoors Niagara and A-1 Bait Supply, will be held on Saturday, July 16, from sun-up to 2 p.m. Boundaries are the lower Niagara River/Lake Ontario and tributaries. The $25 entry includes a $5 in the cash bash (the Lunker Award), which pays 100 percent of all money collected in the bash. Weigh-in, picnic and awards take place at the Lewiston Landing pavilion. Scales will be open from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A total combined weight of two fish per person is allowed.
