Furthering its mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate and affordable care to Western New York, Catholic Health announced the launch of a new business line focused on offering comprehensive personalized, specialty pharmacy services across its network of physician practices and clinics. A key part of Catholic Health's community pharmacy initiative, the program is being developed in partnership with Trellis Rx, a leading technology-enabled specialty pharmacy services provider.

Mayor Robert Restaino announced the continuation of the expedited process for local businesses to apply for temporary permits for outdoor seating/dining service. This system was developed last year in response to the economic effects felt throughout the Niagara Falls community due to COVID-19 and increased reopening efforts by local government to support local businesses.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced New York State Police and another law enforcement agency issued 444 tickets during last week's "Operation Hardhat" an initiative between law enforcement entities, the New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Thruway Authority, to crack down on work zone violations and highlight the importance of safe driving when encountering construction, maintenance and emergency operations along state highways.

Sheriff Michael J. Filicetti announced the Niagara County Sheriff's Office has joined Neighbors, which is Ring's app-based neighborhood watch program. The Neighbors app has the ability to alert users to crime and safety events within a radius of up to 5 miles of their home, and allows them to share videos or information about crime and safety events in their neighborhood anonymously.

His team said, "The facility will be a gateway to adventure along the Niagara River corridor, greatly improving the visitor experience, complementing nature, increasing the length of visits within the park in all four seasons, and enhancing awareness of nearby recreational and cultural offerings."

New York Attorney General Letitia James and New York Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos announced a $4 million agreement they said "resolves years of hazardous waste disposal and oil spill contamination at the former Tonawanda Forge site in Tonawanda, New York." The agreement stipulates that American Axle & Manufacturing agrees to compensate the state of New York for costs associated with the state's cleanup of contamination at the site.
