Music students tour abroad

One hundred New York state high school student musicians from 27 districts traveled and performed together as part of the American Music Abroad 2024 Empire Tour under the leadership of head directors Richard and Christine Riederer from July 7-26.
Niagara County switches website to '.gov' domain

Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh announced the Niagara County website has moved to the ".gov" domain effective today. The county's website will now be www.niagaracounty.gov. Those who go to the old site, www.niagaracounty.com, will automatically be redirected to the new site.

Family Fun Fest at St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 73 Adam St., City of Tonawanda, will host its "Family Fun Fest" from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. The event includes a theme tray raffle, white elephant booth, homemade baked goods, a 50/50, games for kids, face painting, cornhole and Kan Jam, a dime toss, and a super raffle with 10 prizes (including $300, a 58-inch TV, and a handcrafted cherry wood porch glider).

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara (CAC of Niagara), a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC), announced its participation in this year's OneTooMany Virtual 5K, a fundraising event organized by the New York State Children's Alliance to support child advocacy centers across the state. The event takes place Sept. 13-15. The CAC of Niagara aims to register at least 100 participants before Aug. 8.
