Memorial orthopedic surgeon Dr. Erik Freeland begins seeing patients at Summit HealthPlex

Foot and ankle specialist now treating patients at NFMMC site

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced orthopedic surgeon Dr. Erik Freeland, DO, is now actively seeing patients as a member of NFMMC’s orthopedic team at Summit HealthPlex, located on Williams Road.

A press release stated, “Freeland is a distinguished member of the UB Orthopedic group and is well-known for his proficiency in treating foot and ankle disorders using both non-operative and operative techniques. His extensive academic background and commitment to excellence in orthopedics make him a valuable addition to our healthcare community.”

A native Lewiston resident, Freeland's previous roles include serving as an orthopedic surgeon at Cooper University Hospital (Camden, New Jersey), where he also held the position of division head of foot and ankle and assistant professor of orthopedic surgery.
