New York State's Environmental Facilities Corp. (EFC) has provided financing for over 2,000 essential local water infrastructure projects totaling more than $23.7 billion since 1990, but the estimated capital improvement needs for water and sewer projects far exceeds this amount, and tens of billions of dollars in local projects remain in the pipeline, according to a report by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the ribbon-cutting for The Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls, part of a more than $20 million mixed-use development project. The seven-story, 120-room upscale hotel brand, which is located on Rainbow Boulevard, also includes three new residential guest houses on Buffalo Avenue.

Niagara County Legislator Shawn Foti today reminded residents that the county began accepting reservations for picnic shelters in county parks in March, and reservations are quickly filling up.
