As devastated industries wait for Congress to pass another round of COVID-19 recovery legislation, a new survey of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) members shows that the hotel industry remains on the brink of collapse because of the pandemic. Results show 68% of hotels have less than half of their typical, precrisis staff working full time, and without further governmental assistance, 74% of respondents said they would be forced to lay off additional employees.

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson recently announced the allocation of the remaining $1.988 billion in CARES Act funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The allocation focuses funds toward places with households facing higher risk of eviction. Cuomo: WNY appears 'stabilized' with coronavirus cases
