Girl Scout Cookie season kicks off in WNY

Girl Scout entrepreneurs in WNY are selling cookies such as the new Toast-Yay! in what the organization called "safe, creative and socially distant ways," including through the organization's first national delivery services collaboration with Grubhub. Nationwide online Girl Scout Cookie ordering will be available Feb. 1.
Olmsted's South Park Arboretum secures first curator

After a thorough nationwide search, on Jan. 4 the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy welcomed Margaret Lapp as the organization's first curator for the South Park Arboretum. Thanks to a "generous" capacity grant from KeyBank and the First Niagara Foundation, the funded curator position will commence administering the first six of 11 phases approved for returning the Olmsted original design.

The U.S. Small Business Administration, in consultation with the U.S. Treasury Department, reopened the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan portal Monday morning. SBA is continuing its "dedicated commitment to underserved small businesses" and to addressing potential access to capital barriers by initially granting PPP access exclusively to community financial institutions (CFIs) that typically serve these concerns.

NOCO enters $120 million agreement for 15 solar arrays

NOCO, on Monday, announced the company has reached a master agreement with developers to purchase the solar credits from approximately 15 solar array installations across the National Grid and NYSEG service territories.
