Spirit of Buffalo and Buffalo River History Tours announced the launch of the "Big Kahuna," a tiki tour boat docked at Canalside. The boat is the latest to be added to the fleet of Buffalo River History Tours and will carry passengers on daily fun-filled 90- or 60-minute tours on the Buffalo River, Buffalo Harbor and Lake Erie with Caribbean-style music and drinks - all while maintaining social distancing rules.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz was joined by Jessica Poleon, director of the Erie County Office of Consumer Protection, to discuss the new office and its functions. Created in 2019 to ensure Erie County's residents have access to education, information and resources regarding consumer protection, the office will investigate and resolve consumer complaints through voluntary mediation and educate Erie County consumers on their rights and responsibilities as consumers.

Congressman Brian Higgins announced federal funding to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Swormville Fire Co. to help these first responders protect communities from COVID-19. Hamburg received $4,161.29 while Swormville, serving Amherst and Clarence, was awarded $3,265.76.

The National Buffalo Wing Festival will pivot in 2020 and grow into a nationwide celebration of Buffalo's most iconic food. "America's Greatest Chicken Wing Party" will serve as a fundraiser for food banks in more than 50 major cities across the U.S. The new concept will take place in October as part of the newly created "National Chicken Wing Month," according to Drew Cerza, founder of the festival.

On Tuesday, June 30, Stella Niagara Education Park proudly held a graduation ceremony for the eighth grade Class of 2020. Following guidelines from New York state, SNEP's 335-foot parking lot was transformed into family carrels decorated with blue and gold balloons and labeled artistically by students armed with sidewalk chalk.

Niagara County Community College has announced plans for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 31. The college will offer in-person, online and hybrid classes, as well as face-to-face labs that require hands-on instruction such as culinary, CADD, health sciences and other related courses. The announcement was made in conjunction with SUNY approving the "Fall 2020 Reopening Plan for NCCC."

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced that, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it will replace its annual live induction ceremony with an exclusive HBO special honoring this year's Inductees. The program will be available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max on Saturday, Nov. 7 (8 p.m. ET/PT), and will replace the live 35th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony that was originally scheduled for May 2 of this year.

Earning rave reviews from fans and critics alike, the Eagles arrived at the Forum in Los Angeles for three sold-out concerts on Sept. 12, 14, and 15, 2018. Highlights from all three shows have now been compiled for the new 26-song live album and concert film, "Live From The Forum MMXVIII," which premiered on ESPN on Sunday, will air again Monday, July 13 (6 p.m.).
