The Youngstown Presbyterian Church was filled to capacity with high tea hats, baskets and, of course, a wonderful luncheon catered by Three Little Hens.

In coming months, Billy Club restaurateurs Daniel Hagen and Jake Strawser will open Fairbanks restaurant inside the Frontier House. They recently announced Corey Orsburn will serve as executive chef at their Lewiston location. Orsburn previously worked at top eateries in his native Oklahoma (NONESUCH), New York City (Eleven Madison Park), San Francisco (Lazy Bear) and Washington, D.C. (Lutèce).

The Niagara Falls Music Hall of Fame 2024 induction ceremony will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, inside The Bears Den Showroom at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Organizers said, "Promising an unforgettable night of celebration featuring live performances and heartfelt speeches," the event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Doors are at 6 p.m.

Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced Om D. Samant, 36, of Amherst pleaded guilty yesterday afternoon before State Supreme Court Justice Deborah A. Haendiges to one count of manslaughter in the first degree (class "B" violent felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge in full satisfaction of the indictment against him.

On Oct. 15, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to the area of 287 Hyde Park Blvd. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered an unresponsive male lying in the street, who was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
