Tuesday night's primetime Olympics coverage on NBC (8-11:43 p.m.) earned a 21.8/35 national rating/share, the highest-rated night in any Summer Olympics since the 1996 Atlanta Games, and drew 38.7 million viewers, the most for the first Tuesday of a non-U.S. Summer Games in the history of televised Summer Olympics (Rome, 1960).

Niagara County Community College celebrated its 50th anniversary last weekend. Part of the celebration was Balloons Over Niagara. Although contrary wind conditions kept the balloons grounded for most of the celebration, these visitors were thrilled to see the colorful giants rising on NCCC's Sanborn campus.

Michael Phelps looks to claim his third straight 200 meter butterfly gold medal, his 18th medal overall - tying the record for the most career Olympic medals - Tuesday on NBC in primetime. Phelps won gold in both Athens and Beijing in the 200m butterfly. Tuesday will be Phelps' busiest day as he also is expected to swim the final for the 4x200m freestyle relay with teammate Ryan Lochte.
