Press release

The Black Rock and Riverside Tour of Gardens committee has announced that its eighth annual Tour of Gardens for the northwest Buffalo neighborhoods, a free, self-guided event, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4. It features more than 60 gardens that demonstrate the best of neighborhood pride.

This year, the annual Starry Night Garden Tour will take place beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday. It features more than 25 gardens illuminated at night. This is the only such event in the City of Buffalo.

To make guests' Tour of Gardens experience more pleasurable, the committee has designed a 12-page color program, which features maps, detailed garden descriptions, dedicated sponsors, and a print of the original artwork by local artist Kimberly Brennan.

Programs, posters, T-shirts, caps and visors will be available during the day hours of the event at two local spots: the Black Rock Tour of Gardens headquarters at the Buffalo Religious Arts Center, 157 East St., and the Riverside headquarters is St. Mark's and All Saints' Church, 311 Ontario St.

The Black Rock and Riverside Tour of Gardens committee is part of the Black Rock Riverside Good Neighbor Planning Alliance. For more information, visit www.brrgardenwalk.com or call Sharon Adler at 716-877-2740.
