On Tuesday, the Buffalo City Mission fed hungry and hurting Western New Yorkers at an annual Easter community meal. Buffalo City Mission staff, donors and volunteers provided the meal and keepsake gifts for guests as part of the celebration's goal to instill renewal and hope in the hearts of those in need, and those who otherwise may not have access to an Easter celebration.

Artpark & Company announced the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation will provide a $250,000 grant to fund the development for Artpark's future planning. Money will go toward a master plan - a long-term phased transformation that will revitalize the park grounds, improve connectivity with surrounding parks/trails/communities, facilities and programs.

Look for landmarks such as the Peace Bridge and Buffalo City Hall and even Niagara Falls to be bathed in blue lights on April 5, drawing attention to the neurodegenerative disease affecting nearly 1 million Americans and 10 million worldwide. Around 60,000 are diagnosed each year in the U.S., alone.

More than 20 downtown Niagara Falls businesses are joining together to prepare for the upcoming tourist season by hosting a collaborative hospitality industry job fair on Wednesday, April 10, at the Niagara Falls Train Station, 825 Depot Ave. W. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is sponsored by the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association.
Jacobs calls on governor, Assembly to support Lyme disease funding

Chris Jacobs (60th SD) is calling on the governor and Assembly leaders to support $1 million in the state budget, and take action on a series of bills to help combat Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. The senator was joined in his advocacy by patients, family members and advocates from Lyme WNY.
