KeyBank will once again sponsors the Chalk Walk Competition presented by Lewiston Council on the Arts as part of the Lewiston Art Festival.
The colorful event is a festival highlight and features teams of talented high school art students from across Western New York. Inspired by a different theme each year, teams design and then execute murals on the streets of Lewiston as they compete for prize money, trophies and bragging rights for their school.
"The Chalk Walk Competition has become an annual focal point of the Lewiston Arts Festival. KeyBank is proud to once again support this family-friendly activity that not only brings Lewiston together, but also brings people from across Western New York to this wonderful community," said Buford Sears, KeyBank Buffalo region president.
The competition will take place from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the intersection of Center and Fifth streets. "Arts are Key" prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, as well as a People's Choice Award determined by audience vote.
