Despite the local and national trends of declining enrollment in higher education, Villa Maria College announced it has exceeded its fall 2019 enrollment goal by 9%. The small, private college welcomed an incoming class consisting of 229 students; a 12% increase over last year's incoming class, and the largest in three years.
Niagara University cuts ribbon on site at Vaughan, Ontario

Niagara University formally unveiled its new location in Vaughan, Ontario, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday. The site, in the Vaughan Metropolitan Center, is also the first university to be established in the City of Vaughan and York region. It supports Niagara University's commitment to becoming the premier binational university within the Province of Ontario.

Canisius College receives grant to provide exercise program for children with autism spectrum disorder

NCCC 1 of 8 in New York to receive state library award

The Henrietta G. Lewis Library on the campus of Niagara County Community College serves as a repository for Niagara County regional history, and thanks to a conservation/preservation discretionary grant from the New York State Library, artifacts from this collection will be better preserved with improved access.  The $8,482 grant was one of eight of this nature awarded across the state.

100 years of teaching excellence at NCCC

When Niagara County Community College was created in 1962, the original campus was located in downtown Niagara Falls at the former Nabisco Shredded Wheat plant. By 1973, NCCC had moved to its permanent location to Sanborn, at the intersection of Route 31 (Saunders Settlement Road) and Route 429 (Townline Road).

Marlee McCabe wears many hats as public relations assistant at Niagara County Community College, and taking photographs at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.  McCabe is frequently seen behind the lens of her Nikon camera, capturing instructors teaching the next generation of culinary professionals, and showcasing the delicious fruits of their labor. Her images often leave people hungry for more, and NFCI said it's happy to oblige.

Empire State Wrestling returns to St. Johnsburg Firehall, 7165 Ward Road, on Saturday, June 29, for "Temperature Rising." Pre-sale general admission tickets are $15. Tickets increase $5 on the day of the event. Front and second row tickets are sold out. Doors open at 5 p.m. with bell-time at 6 p.m. "Temperature Rising" will air live on Twitch and be recorded for ESW's streaming service partners.
