First Presbyterian honors students

First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston recently announced its four scholarship winners for 2019: John McNally, Andrew Brown, Angelina Steffen and Miguel Bautista. Awards are presented annually in honor of church parishioners.

Last year, Niagara-Wheatfield High School alumni who graduated 50-plus years ago formed a committee to plan a multi-class reunion. The reunion, which was held in August, was a huge success, so the committee decided to continue the tradition this year.

Guests are asked to meet near "The Hatch" at 329 Erie St. The event is open to NCCC alumni, NCCC employees, and friends of the college. Proceeds will support the NCCC Alumni Association.

Senior Warren McDougald from Niagara-Wheatfield High School was awarded The Destroyer Award, Monday night at the annual Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Award dinner in Blasdell. The award is named after the late professional wrestler Dick Beyer, who passed away in March.
