Town of Niagara & Wheatfield Lions Clubs Citizenship Awards

On May 8, the Town of Niagara and Town of Wheatfield Lions clubs held their annual Citizenship Awards Dinner and Ceremony honoring fifth-grade students in the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District. Each student was given a corsage, framed good citizen certificate and an American flag. Each student received the award based on school spirit, cooperation, attendance, reliability, work habits, self-control, health, courtesy and scholarship. Lion Bill Ross was the guest speaker. 

The ceremony has been conducted by the Lions for over 60 years. Awardees include Isabella Vrenegor, Jesse Gandt, Charlize Fantrazzo, Kuba Jedrzejczyk, Louis Capolupo, Alexis DeGrasse, Lincoln Allen, Logan Bennett, Lorelei Ashby, Gabriella Amato, Isabella Katz, Ruby Henry, Brian Hershberger and Emily Kroening. Also pictured is Wheatfield Lions President Lion Walt Garrow, Niagara Lions President Lion Phil Silliman and Lion Bill Ross.
