Erie County, EC Workforce Investment Board co-sponsor Panasonic job fair

Erie County, in partnership with the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Investment Board ("WIB"), is sponsoring a job fair for residents seeking positions with Panasonic. The event will take place from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Panasonic presentations and interviews will take place every 30 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Charles DeGlopper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9249, the Island Ship Center and Momma De's Mixing Bowl to encourage the community to build and ship a package of thanks and support to Grand Island military service members stationed across the world. Poloncarz noted the success of the Erie County Prescription Discount Card Program, a program he had recommended the county pursue in 2008 as county comptroller and that ensures local residents with little or no prescription coverage can obtain their medications at an affordable price.

The Erie County Department of Health, in partnership with Neighborhood Health Centers and the Seneca Nation Health System, has received a three-year, $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health to address the prevention of prescription and non-prescription opioid misuse by women.
