Notaro Chiropractic donates to Community Missions

Monday in Niagara Falls, representatives of Notaro Chiropractic presented two turkeys to Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc. for Thanksgiving meals.
Dr. Nicholas Ryan and Jen Paonessa of Grand Island Chiropractic delivered the turkeys to the Buffalo Avenue location of Community Missions in Niagara Falls, which serves the homeless and those in need.
Francesca Catanese, center, events and volunteer manager at Community Missions said Community Missions expects to serve 275 meals for Thanksgiving as well as give out 150 Thanksgiving gift baskets.
Hard Rock Café, 333 Prospect St., Niagara Falls, will hold the Community Missions Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, Nov. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Rides to the dinner are available from Community Kitchen, 1570 Buffalo Ave.
Notaro Chiropractic has an office in Wheatfield at 10158 Niagara Falls Blvd. Notaro's office on Grand Island, Grand Island Chiropractic, is located at 2283 Grand Island Blvd. in the Town Hall Square plaza.
Catanese said Community Missions is open 24 hours a day and accepts drop-off donations. Large donations can be made by calling Catanese or Christian Hoffman, communications and development manager, at 716-285-3403.
Hoffman said Community Missions has seen a 46 percent increase in meals served this year over last year. Catanese added, now that winter has brought the need for cold weather gear, Community Missions has a clothes closet open three days a week that offers free coats and warm clothing.
